BACKGROUND

Saul has been writing music since he could first reach the piano keys. With a love of music stretching from folk to hip hop to reggae and dub and all the way through to Pakistani Qawali music Saul's influences have informed his style.

COMPOSITION

Saul has composed original music for short films and live performances, including the award-winning short film My Nan and the Yandi, featured on ABC; three distinct shows for Folk of the Puppetree, toured throughout the South-West and Fairbridge Folk Festival, and captured on DVD; and a number of corporate films.

LIVE PERFORMANCE

Saul has played a range of instruments in various bands such as the Treetop Refugees, Chief Monkey, and Tony Lane Electric, and has featured in the choral back up for Mama Kin Spender. His choice of instruments includes guitar, bass guitar, melodica, didge, percussion, and Chinese Banjo (San Xian).
